Celebrating Sweet Tommy

Our wonderful friends Kyle and Lindsay recently adopted a precious little boy, Thomas. We are so excited for them and had a shower to pray over this sweet new life and bless their family. 

Apparently it was really dark at the shower so all the pictures didn't really turn out but you get the idea.

Lots of Love

This past week we have had lots of love at our house.

My Dad was off work and came up to see us on Tuesday.

This is the closest thing to a "good" picture that I got of those two. My dad was making Chandler laugh so hard he was wiggling all around. It is cute though - captures the moment. 

Then my Mom, Gram and Papa came to see us Thursday through Saturday. 

We loved our visit! Thanks for coming to see us.

Daddy Time

We often get the comment, "Chandler is looking more and more like his Daddy". I can't really see it but I do know that he loves music and being outside, just like Cody. 

Chandler hanging out and watching Daddy wash Mommy's car. He is taking it all in and learning how it all works. He is going to be a wonderful husband one day like his Daddy. 

This is what happens when Daddy is in charge of getting Little Man dressed for the day.

Cool hat, huh? At least we know his waist and head are the same size. 

Sophie and the teeth

Chandler's first two teeth are coming in. As I was searching for teething remedies I came across Sophie the Giraffe and heard lots of positive feedback about her. So we decided to give her a try.

So far so good. He is lovin' Sophie.

We had a little photo shoot outside today because Cody was working in the garage and it was such a pretty day. I know it looks like I am torturing my child but I promise he didn't mind. It is very hard to see his teeth much less take a picture of them. :)

Hard at Work

Chandler isn't able to crawl yet but that isn't stopping him from getting around. He is rolling everywhere and scooting himself by pushing his legs. He was hard at work trying to get the ball. 

So excited because he could almost reach it. 

Hmm. just a little bit further. 

Maybe I can swim to it?

Whoa. I gotta take a little break. 

See I knew I could do it! 

Oh, it moved again. I think... I can get it. 

Man. This is alot of work! 

I am soaking up all of these days because I know its only matter of time before he is crawling. I am loving this age though. He is so much fun and really loves to lay on the floor and play. I can picture him and his daddy playing with cars in the near future! You are getting so big sweet boy.

Valentine Sweet Treats

I wanted to make a little something for our neighbors for Valentine's day. Something simple but thoughtful too. As I was grocery shopping I had this idea to make chocolate covered pretzels for them, random I know but it obviously sounded yummy to me at the time. So I got pink and white chocolate, lots of pretzels and began dipping away. 

I thought about just attaching a little card to the clear bag but after playing around with the different options this is what I ended up with. 

Welcome Oliver Creed

The secret is finally revealed!

Remember here where I was making a car seat for my sweet friend Kirby? Well, they welcomed little Oliver Creed on Friday, February 11. 

Yep, it's a BOY and we are so excited. We were joking the other day that Oliver (even though 6 months younger) will probably be teaching Chandler a thing or two since he will have 2 older siblings. 

I didn't remember to get a final picture of the car seat so I will have to post one soon with that cute little boy in it! I was so excited to finish it but I just had to stash it away until the big day. Now the pressure is off. No more secrets. 

Congrats Apels. We love you!! 

New Coffee Favorite

A little while back Caleb and Ash introduced us to Independence Coffee. Yum! I haven't found a flavor that I don't like. They have all been really good. They sell it at HEB.  

My favorite combination.

Happy {Heart} Day!

My man proposed 6 years ago today. It was a day I will never forget. He was so intentional and creative. I am so thankful God gave me such a wonderful husband. It's crazy to think how different our life is now from a senior at A&M living with 2 sweet girls to staying at home with my precious little one and living with the most amazing man. I am so blessed. 

Valentine's day is just another day but it is a special one to me.
